Cultivating Calm

About this Workshop

Do you work in the theatre industry? How do we stay creative in a time of uncertainty and strain?

Cultivating Calm is a workshop led by esteemed Meditation Teacher Joey Hulin of Horizon Inspired. She will explore how simple, sustainable and enjoyable meditation and journaling practices can be when used as everyday tools for maintaining a balanced sense of wellbeing and igniting creativity.

A simple meditation practice can help you gain insight and awareness; you listen, ground and become familiar with what is. Journaling can help you clear the weeds of mind chatter to help you gain clarity – you express, release and find balance.

When you are grounded, open, clear and calm, pure creative energy can bubble up and you can shine! You can lean on (and rely on) both practices to facilitate creativity, self-awareness and self-care whenever you need them. They are both free, always available, you don’t need to be trained or an expert in them in order to practice, you can’t do either of them badly or wrong... you just need to show up.

These workshops have been made possible by Arts Council England's Emergency Response Fund.
