Finding Balance

Thursday 8 October 2020
2pm – 4pm

About this Workshop

Working in the theatre industry is creative, varied and fulfilling, but it can also be unpredictable, stressful and a strain on mental wellbeing – elements that have been exacerbated during the Covid-19 pandemic. So how do we look after ourselves on a daily basis? How can we manage our inevitable ups and downs more effectively?

Using neuroscience and mindfulness, Finding Balance is a workshop led by Katrina Hession that will deliver practical, effective tools to help manage stress, calm anxious thoughts and enable you to feel more balanced. You will gain a better understanding of how your mind and body operates, particularly during challenging times, so you can better self-manage. Discover how to use mindfulness principals in day to day life, and practice some meditation exercises – but don't worry there will be no levitating here, we debunk any unhelpful mindfulness myths!

These workshops have been made possible by Arts Council England's Emergency Response Fund.
